Professor Graham Webb


Professor Graham Webb retired in 2011 as Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) at the University of New England in Australia where he had overall responsibility for the academic activities of the University and acted as Vice-chancellor for extended periods. He holds the qualifications of BA Honours, MSc, PhD with distinction and PGCE.

Graham is author or editor of 9 books, numerous book chapters and journal articles concerning the theory and practice of teaching and learning in higher education, organisational and staff development. He is also an Editorial Advisory Board member for five international journals.

Mr. Graeme Dennehy

Deputy Chairman

Graeme Dennehy has 30 years’ experience in University administration with 15 of those years working at the level of Vice-President in two Australian Universities where his responsibilities included the provision of leadership and oversight of the Universities’ corporate and commercial services. For the past 5 years he has provided consulting services to universities and private tertiary education providers.

Graeme is immediate past Chair of Higher Ed Services (HES) Board, a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), a member of the register of Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) Experts, and the register of experts for Quality Assessments of Universities in Papua New Guinea and has been appointed as a specialist for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ).

Dr. Ashok Chanda


Dr Ashok Chanda is a business, strategy and human resource professional with more than two decades of experience in various industries such as education, consulting, oil & gas, mining, and logistics sector with an exposure to the international business environment. Dr. Chanda has strong capabilities for organizational development and driving change management, with a unique blend of business and people management competencies.

Dr Chanda has a deep understanding on various regulations, quality parameters, market and client needs and has been a key driver for transformational change in some of the VET and higher education organisations in Australia. He has been involved in driving these organisations to the next level and in building robust business and people processes from its inception. In a short span, these organisations have grown substantially in all aspects of business including student enrolment, global presence, employee strength and overall financial health.

After having earned his MBA and Law qualifications, Dr Chanda has a Ph.D. in Management from University of South Australia. Dr. Chanda has authored three management books which have been published internationally. He has also published many research articles in various global research and academic journals. He was also appointed as a Faculty (adjunct) with IIM-Indore in the business strategy area and has been a board member with various School of Businesses.

Mr. Peter Burgess


Peter Burgess is the Executive Director of EdBiz Pty. Ltd., an Australian education consultancy established in 1988 specialising in cross border transnational education (TNE); global transfer articulation pathways; higher education accreditation and registration applications; quality audits and the implementation of quality systems; strategic planning and risk management; and project management in higher education, vocational education, English language and the international school sectors.

Peter holds a MA (distinction) from Lancaster University, Diploma of Business from Caulfield Institute of Technology, Certificates in Paper Technology and Lithographic Printing from North Melbourne Institute of Graphic Arts and Printing, and a Certificate of Papermaking Technology through the Skjaerdalen Brug Internship Program, Trystrand, Norway.

Peter Burgess is a member of a higher education private institution (PEI) Governance Board in Western Australia, and two PEI Academic Boards in addition to his role with the Universal Learning Group Board of Directors.

Mr. Rizwan Ahmed


Rizwan Ahmed has over 20 years broad business management experience which includes 14 years in the private education sector. His specialist skill areas pertain to all aspects of academic leadership, strategic planning, curriculum and assessment development, efficient administration practices, international marketing and regulatory authority compliance within Universal Institute of Technology, Universal English and Universal Higher Education.

Rizwan’s life goal has always been “to make a difference in the lives of others”. He continues to pursue his passion by establishing and running educational institutions that are committed to excellence in learning and innovation not only in Australia but worldwide.

Rizwan is passionate and devoted to continual education and holds a Masters of Enterprise form University of Melbourne, Graduate Diploma of Information Technology from Swinburne University and Bachelors of Science (Electronics) from Osmania University.

Ms. Sue-Ann Standford


Sue-Ann Stanford is currently Director of Education for JMC Academy, a national, private higher education provider specialising in the performing and creative arts. She is a member of JMC’s Academic Board and leads the Learning and Teaching Committee. She is a published author, contributing chapters and articles to peer reviewed journals on different aspects of private higher education provision in Australia. Participation as a Director on the ULG Board of Directors is her first such position.
